Justice Ibrahim Not Fit to be A Kenyan Supreme Court Judge
It seems the Kenyan judiciary is really changing how things are working in kenya. The latest casualty in the ongoing vetting of Judges in Kenya is one Mohammed Ibrahim. I guess Mututho is a very happy guy after all.
My question is, if one can’t be a Judge in Kenya, what on earth can one succeed in? The judiciary was not exactly the best place to work hard and excel. If you fail there, where can you go?
The board accused Ibrahim of delaying delivering judgements.
High Court judge Roselyne Nambuye is also a casualty to the recently concluded vetting of High Court judges by the board.
However, the board in its determination cleared Supreme Court judge Jackton Boma Ojwang and High Court judges Hannah Okwengu and Kihara Kariuki.
Announcing the results in Nairobi on Friday, the board chair Sharad Rao said his team is yet to determine the fate of judges Martha Koome, Wanjiru Karanja and David Maraga who are currently hearing the election date case.
He said their verdict with that of Kalpana Rawal will be made public at a later date.
Nambuye was among the judges
sent packing in the 2003 judiciary purge. She was reinstated by a tribunal appointed to investigate her conduct.
Appellate judges Riaga Omollo, Emmanuel O’kubasu, Samuel Bosire and Joseph Nyamu will now leave the judiciary after their appeals failed.
The four had appealed against an earlier verdict by the Judges and Magistrates vetting board declaring them unfit to hold office.
The board chair Sharad Rao dismissed their appeals saying the complainants failed to present a tangible new discovery for review of the decisions.
He said after studying their applications, the four still did not meet the criteria to hold office.

So there you go another Kenyan professional down the drain. We either had a very corrupt Kenyan judiciary or we had a very corrupt kenyan judiciary.
